Do I need to install any software?
CondoTop is fully web based. This means that there is no software to install, maintain, or worry about interfering with your computer. You need a web browser (CondoTop supports all the main browsers) and an email account.
What happens when new versions are released?
Because CondoTop is web based, new versions are delivered to you automatically. As we continually add new features, make the system better, and continue to offer you the best product, the benefits are available to you automatically, as long as your account is active. This way, we continually have the newest, fastest, and most reliable product for you.
Does this replace our Condo Management Company?
Your Condo Management Company is integral to maintaining your building, handling repairs and maintenance, and ensuring the value of your building. We do not replace your company or manager. CondoTop works to archive your documents, maintain unit history and records, record conversations, and keep track of what goes on with your building for further reference. We focus on making sure the board has all the information to make the best decisions for the benefit of the building.
What happens when we change management companies?
The data, the logins, and all the services move with you. CondoTop is independent of the management company, which means if you change management companies, then you just need to have the new management company contact us (if they are not a current client) or otherwise follow some very simple steps to have access to your building and history through CondoTop.
We self-manage our condo building, will this help?
Absolutely! CondoTop is a tool that benefits self-managed condos just as we support managed condos. Self-managed condos and stratas tend to have difficulty maintaining required documentation, and tracking on a monthly or yearly requirement reoccurring necessities like elevator and fire inspections. This tool will dramatically improve the operation of your condo.
I serve on several different boards, do I need different accounts?
The cool thing about CondoTop is you only need one account! Once you log in, all buildings that subscribe to CondoTop will be accessible from your one account!
We are a management company with many locally run branches, do I need different accounts?
The cool thing about CondoTop is you only need one account! We can link multiple branches to your account, which means you can manage, review, access and support all your branches from one account. You can also limit branches to their own buildings as well, allowing a highly granular control of your business!
I'm a property manager with 20 buildings, will this add more work?
What we should be able to do is free you to spend more time on the issues that are important to the boards: repairs, managing trades, getting quotes, suggesting upgrades or changes that would interest the building. By organizing the boards communications and documents, which you have access to and are a part of (yes, your Manager account will tie into the board's activity), you will spend less time on the repetitive, annoying, part of managing. That's good! :-)
I'm an owner, but not on the board. Can I get CondoTop for our building?
As an owner your condo will benefit with better document and unit history, along with creating a long term history of the building for each new board. If this sounds good to you, don't hesitate to give us a contact name for the president of your board. We'll give them a call on your behalf!
Does our condo need to be built before using your services?
CondoTop helps keep track of documents, discussions, and issues at any point in a building's lifetime - including while it's being built. A lot of boards forget that there is a ton of valuable information that needs to be captured while construction is going on, and without CondoTop most of it is forgotten, misplaced, or too hard to find in a mountain of paper documents later on.
Do you operate in the US, Europe or the rest of the world?
As a web based service, CondoTop operates wherever condo boards need us. We work extremely well when a board member is not resident - they can still track the building's situation and participate in the decisions. So both the building and the board could individually be anywhere in the world!
